PDF Maker

Build one PDF out of a mix of photos, typed text pages, and existing PDF files — reorder everything by dragging, then download. Nothing ever leaves your browser.

What is PDF Maker?

PDF Maker builds a single PDF out of a mix of page types in one pass: photos, a typed cover page or note, and even other PDF files you want merged in — a cover letter, a scanned ID photo, and an existing PDF report can all become one ordered file.

Image to PDF (Tool 1) only ever combines images. PDF Maker goes further — it lets you add typed text pages alongside those images, and it can merge real PDF files in too, copying their actual pages into the output rather than flattening them into a picture. Everything still runs entirely inside your browser using pdf-lib; nothing is ever uploaded.

How to use it

  1. Drop in images (JPG/PNG/WEBP) and existing PDF files onto the drop zone, and use "Add text page" to insert a typed page anywhere in the list.
  2. Drag any card to reorder the final page sequence — images, text pages, and PDFs all share one grid.
  3. Crop an image if needed, or edit a text page's content, font size, and alignment directly on its card.
  4. Pick a page size and margin, adjust image quality if the file size matters, name the file, and click "Download PDF".

How it works, and why it's private

Everything happens locally through pdf-lib: images are re-encoded and embedded as new pages, typed text is laid out and drawn onto new pages, and each existing PDF file is opened and its real pages are copied straight into the output document using pdf-lib's page-copy feature — all inside your browser, with nothing ever uploaded to a server.

That distinction matters for PDFs you merge in: a merged PDF's pages keep their original formatting, fonts, and vector content intact, because they're copied as real pages rather than being re-rendered the way the image and text pages are freshly generated.

The output page order always matches the card grid, so reorder before downloading, not after. A password-protected PDF can't be read without its password, so those files are rejected with an error instead of silently failing.

Example

1 text cover page + 2 photos + 1 existing 3-page PDF:

4 cards added, dragged into the order you want
Text cover page becomes page 1, the two photos become pages 2 and 3
The existing PDF's 3 pages are copied in as pages 4-6, unchanged
Result: one 6-page PDF, in exactly that order

Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No — images, text, and PDF files are all read and assembled locally in your browser using pdf-lib. Nothing is ever sent to a server.

Does merging in an existing PDF just turn it into an image?

No — its real pages are copied into the output document, so the original text, fonts, and vector content stay intact. It isn't flattened or re-rendered the way image and text pages are.

What happens if I add a password-protected PDF?

It can't be read without its password, so PDF Maker shows an error and skips that file rather than adding it. Remove the password first (in whatever program applied it) and try again.

How are text pages laid out?

Each text page is drawn as simple single-column text at the font size and alignment you choose — it's meant for a short note or cover page, not a full word processor with rich formatting.

Does the order of the cards matter?

Yes — the downloaded PDF's page order always matches the order of the cards in the grid, so drag to reorder before downloading.
