What is the English Typing Pad?

A free online notepad for English. Type or dictate with your voice, see live word and character counts, then copy, download or share on WhatsApp.

It runs in your browser and saves your draft as you type, so a refresh or a closed tab won't lose your work. Nothing you write is uploaded.

Voice typing uses your browser's built-in speech recognition (Chrome or Edge). It keeps listening through pauses until you press Stop.

Desktop speech recognition writes punctuation as words, so the pad turns spoken commands like "question mark" into the symbol itself.
