Pick a language and keyboard layout below. Everything runs on your own physical keyboard — we map your key presses to the right script in your browser, so you never have to install or switch your OS keyboard layout. Take a placement test, work through 13 levels, then sit an exam simulation for a free certificate.
This is a free, browser-based typing tutor and typing test for English and Hindi keyboard layouts, built for anyone preparing for a government typing exam (SSC, court clerk, state clerk/typist, and more) as well as anyone who just wants to learn to type faster and more accurately.
Everything happens on your own physical keyboard. For Hindi, we map each physical key to the correct Unicode character for the layout you choose (Inscript or Krutidev/Remington Gail) — entirely in your browser. You never need to install a keyboard layout or change any OS setting.
Most online Hindi/Indic typing tools either require you to switch your OS keyboard layout, or only work if your OS is already set to that layout. This tool instead reads the PHYSICAL key you pressed (its position on the keyboard, not whatever character your OS would normally produce) and maps that position to the correct character for the layout you've selected.
That means an English-Windows laptop with a plain US keyboard can be used to practice Hindi Krutidev, Inscript, or any other supported layout immediately, with no admin access or settings changes needed — which matters a lot on shared or locked-down exam-center computers.
Example: typing कि (ki) in Hindi Inscript
No. Nothing is installed and no OS settings are changed — the layout simulation runs entirely in your browser tab.
Yes, for layouts marked "Ready" (verified against official references). Layouts marked "Beta" are a good starting point but haven't been independently re-verified yet — check the warning on that layout's page before relying on it alone.
Typing practice needs a physical keyboard to be useful, so on a phone or tablet we'll show a friendly notice — you can still use it if you connect an external keyboard.
