BPSC Photo & Signature Resizer

Bihar Public Service Commission — resize your photo and documents to the exact size required. Nothing is ever uploaded.

These specs have not yet been verified against the current official notification. Always confirm on the official website before submitting. Visit the official BPSC website →

BPSC's exact photo/signature specs haven't been loaded into this tool yet. You can still resize your photo using the general tool below — just enter the dimensions and file-size range from the official notification.

What is the BPSC Photo & Signature Resizer?

Bihar Public Service Commission applicants need their photo to match the portal's exact upload requirements — exact numbers for which haven't been loaded into this tool yet (see the notice above). State Public Service Commission portals vary in their exact upload requirements from state to state, but nearly all of them share the same automated, zero-tolerance validation for file size and dimensions once a notification is out.

This page still gives you the full resizer tool below — you'll just need to enter BPSC's dimensions and file-size limits yourself from the official notification, since they haven't been confirmed here yet.

How to use it

  1. Open the official BPSC notification (link above) and confirm the current photo requirements — specs do change between recruitment cycles.
  2. Enter the width, height, and KB range from the notification into the resizer below.
  3. Upload your photo or signature — JPG, PNG, WEBP, or a HEIC photo straight from a phone.
  4. Crop to the locked ratio, and use background removal (or paper-background removal for a signature) if the notification requires a plain background.
  5. Click "Resize & Compress" and download once the final size shows green — if it shows red, widen the range slightly or try a different source photo.

How it works, and why it's private

State Public Service Commission portals vary in their exact upload requirements from state to state, but nearly all of them share the same automated, zero-tolerance validation for file size and dimensions once a notification is out. Entering the target pixel size and KB range once, instead of fighting with an image editor's percentage-based "save for web" slider, is what actually gets a file to land inside a specific window on the first try.

The resizer binary-searches JPEG quality first (the gentlest way to shrink a file) and only reduces the actual pixel dimensions if quality alone can't fit under the maximum — so a photo doesn't get visibly softer than it needs to be just to hit a byte count.

If the portal asks for a specific DPI and you're not sure what that means, 300 DPI (the print-industry default) satisfies almost every form that specifies one. Everything runs in your browser using Canvas and WebAssembly — your photo is never uploaded anywhere, including to this site.

Example

Common reasons a BPSC photo or signature gets rejected:

• The photo is more than a few months old, or taken in different lighting/clothing than what the portal's guidance expects
• The image is blurry or low-resolution after being resized down awkwardly in a messaging app before upload
• The file format doesn't match what's required (a PNG uploaded where only JPG is accepted, or vice versa)
• The photo was taken at an angle, tilted, or not facing the camera directly

Frequently asked questions

What is the exact photo size for BPSC?

This tool doesn't have BPSC's exact photo size loaded yet — check the official notification (linked above) and enter the dimensions into the general resizer below.

Is my photo uploaded anywhere when I use this tool?

No. Cropping, background removal, and compression all run locally in your browser — your photo is never sent to a server, including ours.

What's the most common reason BPSC rejects an uploaded photo?

The photo is more than a few months old, or taken in different lighting/clothing than what the portal's guidance expects. This tool's crop-and-compress flow is built specifically to avoid that.

Can I take the photo with my phone, or does it need a studio?

A phone photo works fine as long as the lighting is even and the background is plain — this tool's crop and background removal handle the rest.

Where do I confirm BPSC's current requirements are still accurate?

Always check the official BPSC notification directly at https://bpsc.bih.nic.in before submitting — specs in this tool are a starting point, not a guarantee they match the current cycle.
