What is the NABARD Photo & Signature Resizer?

National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development Grade A/B Examination applicants need their photo and signature to match the portal's exact upload requirements — currently photo, signature, left thumb impression, handwritten declaration, each with its own pixel size and file-size window. Bank recruitment portals (IBPS, SBI, RBI and similar) are notorious for strict, unforgiving upload validation across several documents at once — photo, signature, thumb impression, and a handwritten declaration all have to independently fit their own size window in the same sitting.

This page pre-loads NABARD's own spec into the resizer below, one tab per required item, so you can upload a photo, crop it to the correct ratio, and compress it into the required KB range without looking up a single number yourself.

How to use it

  1. Open the official NABARD notification (link above) and confirm the current photo/signature requirements — specs do change between recruitment cycles.
  2. Pick the matching tab below (photo, signature, left thumb impression, handwritten declaration) — the target size and file-size range are already filled in.
  3. Upload your photo or signature — JPG, PNG, WEBP, or a HEIC photo straight from a phone.
  4. Crop to the locked ratio, and use background removal (or paper-background removal for a signature) if the notification requires a plain background.
  5. Click "Resize & Compress" and download once the final size shows green — if it shows red, widen the range slightly or try a different source photo.

How it works, and why it's private

Bank recruitment portals (IBPS, SBI, RBI and similar) are notorious for strict, unforgiving upload validation across several documents at once — photo, signature, thumb impression, and a handwritten declaration all have to independently fit their own size window in the same sitting. Entering the target pixel size and KB range once, instead of fighting with an image editor's percentage-based "save for web" slider, is what actually gets a file to land inside a specific window on the first try.

The resizer binary-searches JPEG quality first (the gentlest way to shrink a file) and only reduces the actual pixel dimensions if quality alone can't fit under the maximum — so a photo doesn't get visibly softer than it needs to be just to hit a byte count.

Take the photo in daylight near a window rather than under a single overhead bulb — it evens out shadows without needing extra editing. Everything runs in your browser using Canvas and WebAssembly — your photo is never uploaded anywhere, including to this site.

Example

Common reasons a NABARD photo or signature gets rejected:

• The file is a few KB over the maximum — the portal usually won't tell you how much, just that it was rejected
• The photo was cropped to the wrong aspect ratio, so it got stretched or squeezed to fit instead of being resized properly
• The background isn't plain — a patterned wall, furniture, or another person visible behind you
• The signature was scanned or photographed on a full sheet of paper with a large blank margin still attached

Frequently asked questions

What is the exact photo size for NABARD?

As loaded in this tool (not yet independently verified against the latest official notification): photo at 200×230px (20-50 KB), signature at 140×60px (10-20 KB), left thumb impression at 240×240px (20-50 KB), handwritten declaration at 800×400px (50-100 KB). Always cross-check this against the current NABARD notification before submitting, since specs can change between recruitment cycles.

Is my photo uploaded anywhere when I use this tool?

No. Cropping, background removal, and compression all run locally in your browser — your photo is never sent to a server, including ours.

What's the most common reason NABARD rejects an uploaded photo?

The file is a few KB over the maximum — the portal usually won't tell you how much, just that it was rejected. This tool's crop-and-compress flow is built specifically to avoid that.

Can I use a photo of my signature, or does it need to be scanned?

A clear photo works fine — sign in dark ink on plain white paper, photograph it in good light, then use this tool's background removal and auto-trim to clean it up into a proper signature file.

Where do I confirm NABARD's current requirements are still accurate?

Always check the official NABARD notification directly at https://www.nabard.org before submitting — specs in this tool are a starting point, not a guarantee they match the current cycle.
